About
Hello. I'm Rich Leland.
This is my blog, mathematism, where I share my thoughts on development, design, and user experience.
I currently work as Application Architect for National Geographic, where my primary role is to develop sites and applications using Python, JavaScript, HTML and CSS. I also feel right at home with Photoshop or Illustrator, maintain web servers, and build iPhone apps.
I'm the founder of django-district, a group for users of django in the Washington, DC area. I contribute to several open source projects. I'm currently working on django-cumulus, an interface to the rackspace cloud through django.
Colophon
This site is powered by django and lives on the Rackspace Cloud. The design was accomplished using Photoshop and some minor mods to the basic theme from django-mingus. If you are using a superior machine you will see the typefaces Constantia and Helvetica used throughout the site.
The twitter, reddit, delicious and rss icons used on the site are from Komodo Media's Social Network Icon Pack.
